Customers can now access DoD and DAF funded resources without a library account. Customers will be validated via DEERS to determine eligibility to access the resources.
Go to dodmwrlibraries.org or daf.dodmwrlibraries.org (Air Force only) Click Login. Enter your DoD ID number & date of birth.
Resources can be found under Digital Collections (A-Z)
EXCEPTION: Contractors must first create a library account. To sign in, select yes “Local National” then enter library card number and last name.
Getting started with Libby by OverDrive
With Libby, you can borrow free ebooks, digital audiobooks, and magazines from your library. All you need is your DoD ID Number.
- Install the Libby app from your device’s app store. Or visit libbyapp.com in your Chrome, Safari, Firefox, or Edge browser.
- In Libby, follow the prompts to find your library and sign in:
- First question: do you have a library card? YES
- How would you like to continue? Search For A Library
- You can search for your library by name or branch location: Department of Defense
- Add a library card for Department of Defense so you can borrow titles and place holds. Sign In With My Card
- Where do you use your library card? DOD MWR Libraries
- At this library, you sign into your card via a secure website. We’ll open this site for you now. Next
- Once directed to dodmwrlibraries.org verify your Eligibility with your DoD ID Number and Date of Birth. Submit
- You will be taken back to the Libby app. You can Rename Card or select Next
If you always want to read books with Kindle, go to:
Menu > Settings > Read Books With… > Kindle.
